These are made in china and have the strangest texture inside the pants. Like rubbery sandpaper. That being said, these are about $10 cheaper than the last pair I bought and they do in fact keep him dry. It is definitely waterproof. My son goes to a Waldorf school in the northwest where they spend LOTS of time outside in rain and mud and he remains perfectly dry. The loops on the bottom by the feet might be useful for some people, but my kid wears his pants over his Bogs boots, so we just cut them off. I bought the size 100 (age 3-4) and it fit my child with room to grow. He is 3 years old and in the 50th percentile for height and weight. They were long, but not so long that he couldn't wear them now. If you're looking for a quality made product with lining, this is not the one to get. If you're looking for a more budget friendly waterproof rain pants (that are actually waterproof) to get your kid through 1 season of rain, then this is perfect.This is our backup pair of rain pants and they work just fine.My child loves these puddle pants and keeps clothes dryer now that we have them. Unfortunately the mud stains won't come out! I thought that as rain gear they'd be easier to keep clean.My grandson loves to puddle stomp, but always came home soaked with his rubber boots full of water. These worked wonderfully! Nice and dry and no boots full of puddle.Wasn't guaranteed for Christmas but got it on Christmas Eve that was awesome perfect for grandson who loves to play in rainThese are great, I get a lot of compliments! The length of the pants are really long but work just as well rolled up.
