Description

Reversible Bib Scarf Featuring a different print on each side, our reversible bib scarves were designed in response to customer demand. We added trim along the outside of the scarf which helps the fabric stay spread across the chest - without the use of snaps or velcro. This is the best option for individuals who suffer from osteoporosis (curvature of the spine) and those unable/unwilling to arrange a scarf to cover the spill-zone. Fashionable Dining Scarf We've also responded to customer feedback by redesigning our best-selling dining scarves to offer the same print on both sides. This adjustment allows the user to truly wear their "bib" as a fashion accessory. Tie it in a fancy knot or toss one end casually over the shoulder ~ nobody will know it's a bib! These microsuede scarves have a luxurious and fluid drape and will require the wearer to arrange the scarf prior to eating. The owner's beautiful Mother, rockin the Midnight Garden dining scarf. The owner of Designed to Dine with her gorgeous models. While Designed to Dine scarves were developed with seniors in mind, I've discovered they come in handy for all sorts of things. I use mine to clean my glasses and open jars. Other uses include: Husbands who eat in front of the TV Commuters who eat on the run Kids who are too old for a baby bib but still seem to wear more food than they eat Designed For Caregivers ~ By a Caregiver Caregivers go through more than they will tell you. We give up a lot and rarely have a social life. We get both physically and emotionally worn out. Yes, it's an honor to care for those you love. It's also exhausting. I'm not about to tell you not to use a conventional adult bib. If you find something that works for you, hold onto it! But if the person you care for is fighting to hold onto what dignity and independence they have left, I hope you will consider this alternative. This has worked well so far for my husband who has dementia. He is in mid-stage and spends a lot of time sleeping sitting up on the couch during the day. As he sleeps, his mouth opens and he drools, spotting his clothing. A cloth bib didn't work because he needed to remove it when he used the bathroom and he couldn't figure out how to put it back on. It was awkward and didn't quite fit where it needed to. We tried dish towels to cover his chest, but they would inevitably slip down as he slept and end up on his lap. This bib scarf seems to be doing the trick so far. It covers the chest and lap, and collects the saliva. It's simple for him to remove it when he stands and put it back on by himself. The fabric is soft and non-absorbent. I have two for him so one can be used while the other is waiting to be washed. He seems happy to wear it and gives him the dignity of not having to wear a bib. So far he doesn't need to wear it when he's eating, but it's nice to have available when he will need it for that purpose in the future. And I'll use one of them myself when I'm eating spaghetti with marinara sauce! I have a tendency to catch those saucy splatters on my chest.
