I typically buy my snowpants from stores in town like Target or Walmart, but I always end up needing to buy another pair halfway through the winter due to holes in the pants. I know kids play hard outside, but that was frustrating. I did a lot of product reviewing here on amazing and found these snowpants. The quality is great and I could tell the durability was different than what I've had in the past. My 6 year old snowboards and loves being out in the snow. Not a single hole all winter long. Unless she has a major growth spurt this year, they will def get use again next winter! I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend for your active kiddos! After 2 winters in Northern Colorado, where our early fall and late springs snows are VERY WET, I'm done with cheap $20 Target/Walmart snow bibs that are "water resistant"! The big snows are the ones my kids want to play for hours outside, yet they end up soaked to the bone on their rear end/legs with cheap snow bibs .... SO I ordered these TSLA "waterproof" snow bibs and Eddie Bauer waterproof bibs (higher price point) and put them both to the water hose test today - in August! I'm going to be prepared for our first snow next month!!While I overall liked the fit and colors of the TSLA bibs, they are very trim/slim as noted in other reviews (I have 3 skinny kids) ... dun dun dun, they are NOT WATERPROOF as advertised. Spend the extra $20 for the Eddie Bauer branded ones if you are looking for hours of dry snow play!!! You can clearly see the difference in the material down at the leg hole openings - the Eddie Bauer ones are clearly made of a PUL lined material like a cloth diaper.I did "size up" for my 3 kids per other reviews & these fit them great!9yo girl, 57lbs & 53" I ordered the 10/127yo boy at 50lbs and 49" I ordered size 86yo girl at 43 lbs & 46" I ordered size 6/7Kids are rough on cloths but these lasted pretty good.Fit & look was great!!!My 9yo just started skiing..Being it's his 1st year, I expected a lot of wrecks on the slope, and the 1st run down the hill, he fell ever 30 feet. Felt like it was going to take forever to get down the small hill...With the reinforced knee area and at the bottom of the legs, these held up great! He's only been out 4 times this year, but he's able to black diamond trails (proud I am). He's had his share of wrecks on them. And being these are steeper trails, the wrecks are a bit more harsh.. as in he might slide 30+ feet before stopping and there's not a sign of a tear or wear on these. Plus, he's said these were very warm.. He does wear long johns under them as his base layer. And to boot, I don't know what the ml waterproof rating might be, but there has been no water penetration.Bottom line.. Unless you're in the extremest of colds, I feel these will be perfectly find for kids to stay warm and dry.Bought for my son who is 8 yrs old but pretty tall for his age. I got a bigger size so he can grow into it worked great when we went to the snow. He said it was comfy and warm. He was dry the entire trip.Great quality but the fit is a little smaller than expected. Would def buy again but would size up.This fits my daughter perfectly! Fitted at the waist with tons of stretch and the legs are super thick and durable. She has ripped THREE pair of Target brand or whatever at recess and so far these has stood up to her play. Highly recommend
